Another major development in podcasting industry is coming soon as Liberated Syndication or LibSyn, one of the world’s leading podcasting hosting company will be bought by Wizzard Software. From the Wizzard’s official press release, Wizzard stated their plan and agreement to buy out LibSyn to create a more innovative service for podcasters and podcasting businesses by combining the LibSyn outstanding hosting services to their own expertise in speech technology.
According to some news, Wizzard and LibSyn will concentrate on offering a comprehensive and integrated search engine indexing, blogging and transcription. The said mergers are also said to attract more advertisers and better promotional opportunities.
Inspite of this big buzz, LibSyn on the other hand, has not yet publish any official statement on this matter except for the short remark of Libsyn CEO Dave Chekan implying some excitement to the investment offer of Wizzard.
