Podcasting community leaders together with the leaders from broadcasting, media companies, publishers, and syndication companies created a new organization called the Association for Downloadable Media (ADM). This new organization aims to provide industry standards in advertising and audience measurement for all kinds of downloadable media.
This is actually good for the entire internet broadcasting industry because at this time, there is no real established standards in audience measurement and creating one will definitely support the momentum that we have now in the internet broadcasting.
The mission and objectives of the Association for Downloadable Media are timely and are really the ones that we need at the moment. This will surely help the industry in revenue generation and solicit for some sponsorship that are critical for many of us to stay alive and run smoothly for years to come.
