With the upcoming release of Zune 2, Microsoft subtlety confirmed that they now have podcast support. The new improved Zune with 80GB storage and bigger 3.2 inch screen is already capable of subscribing to any other podcast by simply entering the podcast’s RSS feed address.
Those who will buy the new Zune can also enjoy wireless podcast syncing at home and even its DRM-free music from EMI and Universal.
Another proof that Microsoft is now podcast-friendly is their announcement that the Zune Marketplace will soon carry more than 1,000 featured audio and video podcasts. Microsoft even graced the Podcast and New Media Expo as some Zune representative took part on the event.
