After the smooth and pleasantly success of the first PodCamp in South Africa (video excerpts can be found here), PodCamp fever will hit Boston for the second time this coming weekend, October 26 to 28 at the Boston Convention and Expo Center. PodCamp Boston is like no other because this where PodCamp revolution started more than a year ago and its lead organizers, Chris Brogan and Christopher Penn are the one who founded PodCamp.
As of this writing, there are already around 940 people who registered, just 260 far from the expected 1200 participants and the list does not include those who will come with companion and those who registered in private. On Chris’ blog, he said that there are over 1100 people registered (as of October 16). So I guess, there will be more than 1200 people who will be attending PodCamp Boston2 that will make this PodCamp the biggest free podcasting event of the year.
And take note, whether you are a podcaster or not, you are cordially invited to attend the most anticipated PodCamp of the year. Just be sure to register here before the event because due to security and liability requirements by the venue, walk-in attendees will not be allowed inside the Expo Center.
By the way, although this event is generally free, the Saturday night reception for PodCamp Boston 2 which will be held at the Boston Seaport Hotel Ballroom will have a minimal fee of $9.99 but this includes light refreshments plus a cash bar.
