True to its word about podcast support, the Zune Podcast Programming Manager Rob recently announced 1-click podcast subscriptions for the Zune portable media player.

So, those of us who want fuss-free and easy subscription to our favorite podcast, simply create a 1-click link URL using this format:  zune://subscribe/?PodcastTitle=PodcastRSSFeedURL. This will then starts on the Zune Marketplace software and add the podcast subscription to your subscription list.

Although it requires you to install the new Zune Marketplace software, the 1-click link podcast subscription should work fine even for podcast feeds that are not yet in Zune Marketplace. Likewise, podcast publishers can now display a Zune icon or chicklet graphic on their websites linking the easy “1-Click Podcast Subscription” process for their audiences who are using Zune.
